Cape Coral Speedway

This paving project consisted of a 1.25" overlay of the entire asphalt pavement area. All completed in one day, we worked with the store team to maintain a functional store all day long.

This commercial paving project consisted of an asphalt overlay. The asphalt thickness was 1.25". Bump Milling was done at transition areas to ensure / maintain drainage as well as to prevent the creation of "lips" / tripping hazards at the transitions from asphalt pavement to concrete pavement. Overlaying asphalt is a great strategy in certain cases because it builds more asphalt on top of existing pavement. Milling and Paving is another strategy which does generally cost more but it has the added element of removing surface cracks in the existing asphalt pavement. When you overlay over asphalt cracks, the new asphalt paving has a tenancy to reflect the cracks from the existing surface. All of these questions about different asphalt maintenance and so many more can be answered by reaching out to our construction team!

This asphalt overlay project was handled by our in-house paving crew
