This was a fast-tracked high school student parking expansion project (over 150 cars) that had to be completed in seven weeks over the summer school break of 2016. The project was approximately two acres, and first required the demolition of a former daycare center. The area was at a low elevation during the rainy season, which required substantial dewatering challenges, additionally required imported fill to achieve proper elevations. Storm drainage system was installed which connected to the existing offsite utility system. Stabilization of subbase, placement of crushed concrete base and asphalt installation. All work self-performed by Alto personnel. Additionally, Alto was responsible for the hiring and coordinating of Site lighting and fencing for this project. Alto completed on time.
Equity Lifestyle Properties is a leading owner and operator of mobile home park communities and RV resorts. Over the course of three years, Alto has made numerous improvements to the asphalt streets in 12 of the listed communities per year based on the budgeted property improvements for the calendar year, size of the community, and urgency of the request. Improvements consisted of milling and asphalt paving designated streets and common areas or overlay/resurface of the asphalt paved streets or a combination of asphalt paving and asphalt sealcoating. Some projects included some ancillary items such as concrete sidewalk repairs and concrete curbs and ADA access. One property needed concrete pads for RV sites. For one community, we investigated the storm drainage to determine the drainage issues for future repairs.
During this time, Alto Construction has paved a cumulative square footage of 591,522 SF which would equal a little over 10 football fields with a total asphalt tonnage of 3,527 TNS.
All locations collectively showcased our commitment to quality, commitment to service and ability to be flexible with their request.
